SALES MANAGER – OCTG & TUBULAR MANAGEMENT
Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director – The Sales Manager OCTG is responsible for generating respective sales volumes, revenues, and profits for Titan Tubular Nigeria Limited (TTNL), a subsidiary of One Titanium that meets annual goals with strategic accounts across all OCTG and premium connection product lines /services. The Sales Manager will also be expected to manage, develop & grow with assigned customer responsibilities while generating new customers that are strategic to the company’s long-term performance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining and improving TTNL’s offering including product portfolio, supply routes, consignment options, commercial terms, services offer, and partnerships for OCTG as well as non-OCTG products and services.
- Assist to maximize sales opportunities by meeting sales volume objectives, identifying and solving the problems affecting sales and identifying proper commercial channels and conditions associated to orders.
- Responsible for creating demand for OCTG business by building customer, supplier, and partner relationships.
- Responsible to oversee quotations/tenders, process/follow-up orders, and provide after-sales support.
- Responsible to feedback market intelligence to TTNL for purposes of forecasting and planning, innovation, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Responsible to lead the sales function for OCTG and for other product lines as they may be combined with OCTG in the future.
- Accountable for working across business units, functions, and external partnerships to build consensus and facilitate change. Embody a spirit of empowerment and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for detecting and developing opportunities for OCTG business in order to enhance TTNL positioning and ensures the achievement of Business Unit commercial objectives exploring opportunities to develop new services.
- Tactical moves and operating plans for future development at a regional / account level; follows up on new leads and referrals and identifies sales prospects.
- Facilitates the Customer’s Request for Quotation (RFQ) and sources information from Knowledge Centers (Product, Delivery, Logistics, Pricing, Costs, Legal, Credit) whenever necessary. Follows up offer status.
- Supports the Demand Planners’ analysis and decision by sharing customer’s information and market & product trends.
- Perform other responsibilities with respect to TTNL’s business as necessary.

Experience
- Minimum of 6 years working experience in OCTG technical and sales/ tubular management.
- Commercial, corporate strategy and/or marketing experience in Nigerian energy industry.
- Experience in tendering, building offers and meeting customers deadlines.
- Experience in negotiating clauses during contract negotiation
- Pipe, thread manufacturing, and quality experience preferred.
